Pawsitively Pet Care - About us

Hello, I'm Colleen Greenen the owner of Pawsitively Pet Care! I grew up with dogs, cats, small farm animals & horses - I am a pet lover! Our family dog, Sydney (13), is such a huge part of our lives (she is just like one of the kids) and spending time with her is a priority.  Sydney, like all pets, gives us so much joy and unconditional love;  pets create well-being and happiness, I like being happy!   

When it came time for vacations, our family found it difficult to leave Sydney (and our previous pets) at home until we found someone that we trusted. We were grateful when we found someone who would care for our extended family members with love and fun in an environement they were comfortable in (their home). We knew we could rest more peacefully and enjoy our time away knowing they were happy too. Pawsitively Pet Care believes you can have the same feeling when you are at work, away for an evening, weekend or vacation when you utilize our services.

Leaving my rewarding career in the non-profit association business was a hard decision that became necessary after my youngest son, now 20, was hit by a car and suffered a traumatic brain injury.  Five years later, he is progressing well.  We found ourselves searching for something that would create joy, laughter, fun, involving Sydney (our dog) in all we do, and the enjoyment of being able to be outdoors. After neighbors and friends asked us to watch their pets, it became apparent that others who enjoy their careers (vacations or personal time for any reason), may be stressed about their pet at home with minimal play and walk time. That was the "aha" moment and Pawsitively Pet Care was born! We are here to help!

The love for pets has inspired me to offer the services of Pawsitively Pet Care.  I look forward to meeting with you and your pets.
